Take Advantage of the Warm Weather and Complete These Easy Plumbing Projects

Hot water heater project on warm weather Looking to take advantage of the warm summer months and extra hours of daylight? Use this season as an opportunity to complete the plumbing projects you’ve been meaning to get around to.

Hot water heaters have a life expectancy of 8 to 12 years – if your hot water heater has neared or exceeded this lifespan then it’s time for an upgrade. Summer is a great time to tackle this plumbing project as you’ll be without hot water until it’s been successfully installed. If someone absolutely needs to take a shower before the project is completed, they won’t be completely frozen like they would be during the winter.

This is a fairly easy DIY project that you can tackle in 2 to 3 hours if there are no major complications. Be sure to do your research before heading down to the local hardware store. Should you experience any problem or simply don’t have the time to install the hot water heater yourself, call a plumbing professional to get the job done right.

If your pipes are out dated or tree roots have infiltrated your sewer line, take advantage of the warm weather and soft ground to make some much needed replacements and upgrades. You don’t want to put this task off because winter will be here before you know it making the job either impossible or absolutely miserable.

Now is the best time to replace or make upgrades to all of your outdoor faucets and showers. After being exposed to the wet, cold and freezing weather, you’ll want to inspect these fixtures for rust or other signs of wear and tear that can occur overtime.
