Lawrenceville Memorial Day ParadeBeginning at 10:00 a.m. you and the family can enjoy military vehicles, the Pittsburgh Police, local fire departments, veteran organizations, marching bands, classic cars and more! Be sure to get there early and grab a seat on Butler Street anywhere between 40th Street and the Allegheny Cemetery.
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Memorial CelebrationBring the whole family out for this great event at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland! A special ceremony for all fallen PA service members from the war on terrorism will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 30. The ceremony will feature the 6th Regiment USCT drum corps performance. After the ceremony, there will be a celebration until 4:00 PM which will feature entertainment, face painting, balloon artists, costume characters, raffle/auction, contests, door prizes and tours of the museum. Food and beverages will be available for purchase and free parking will be available in the Bigelow lot.
Open Streets PittsburghPromoting healthy living, local shopping, local restaurants, re-imagining city spaces and green thinking, the first open streets of Pittsburgh this season will take place on May 29 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Taking place in Market Square, 28th & Penn and 47th & Butler you can participate in yoga, cycling, kick boxing, skating, dancing and much more!
