Penn Brewery Oktoberfest: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 16 to 25 you can experience autumn’s best-handcrafted brew that Penn Brewery has to offer. You can enjoy music, food, and a German-inspired atmosphere on the edge of Deutschtown with no cover charge. VIP packages are available for serious beer lovers.

Pittsburgh Boo Zoo: The Pittsburgh Zoo will be hosting their annual Boo Zoo the weekend of October 22-23 and October 29-30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring the kids dressed in their Halloween costumes to enjoy a day filled with animals, treats, a costume contest, and a child-friendly spooky house!

Carnegie Science Center 21+ nights: Experience the Carnegie science center this fall without a bunch of rambunctious children running about. You can actively participate in the hands-on exhibits and enjoy a cash bar! For all you Rocky Horror Picture Show fans, October 14 will be Rocky-themed. The cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Kennywood Phantom Fright Nights: Are you looking for a night filled with roller coasters and terror? Every Friday and Saturday starting September 20 through October 29 will include 10 different haunted attractions that will keep you looking over your shoulder at every twist and turn around the park.

Gallery Crawl: From a collection of civil rights in comics and cartoons to live improv comedy shows, explore the galleries of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District for free! On September 23 from 5:30 to 10, get in touch with your creative side and see what the many galleries and theatres right here in Pittsburgh have to offer.
