If you live in the greater Pittsburgh area, or it's surrounding counties & communities Gillece Services will install a whole-house surge arrester for $99. This is normally a $325 value. Existing electrical panel must have room to house surge arrester.
Additional charges may be required to upgrade the home's grounding system to accommodate surge protector.
